Studying the craft...

I’ve been busy studying the craft of YouTube—the ins and outs, thumbnails, Adobe Premiere, and After Effects—and I have to say, it’s been both a blast and its been kicking my ass. My wife also works now full time, so I am also a full time parent, while still running my business, and doing YouTube stuff. I’m just glad I’m at a point in my life where I’m doing something I really enjoy, and working towards something I hold dear.

Recently, I lost another friend, which was a reality check once again. It pushed me to strive harder toward my goals because I feel like I’m chasing time. Enough talk, more work—that’s how I need to operate now. I will finish 2024 strong and can’t wait to see what I’ll achieve in 2025.

Although I’ve been slacking on reading, I’ve been studying, so I guess that counts. Losing so much this past year has taken a lot out of me, but I’m at a place in my life where these things no longer make me sad—they push me further in life.

Everything else has been great. My kids are growing so fast! My older one will start preschool in a week—I still can’t believe it was just yesterday that I was holding him in my hands as a small baby. And the younger one just turned one, and he kind of skipped the walking phase and went straight to running!

On a side note, I made my first video, and it wasn’t great, but it motivated me to research podcasts and study my craft more. I chose this as a career, so I’m all in, and I must adapt and learn. I’ll attempt my second video real soon. I’m changing things up a bit and will go more freestyle, just talking, because I felt like I was forcing it in that first video. Hopefully, things work out because I want to be my true self with whoever decides to listen—nothing needs to be perfect.

I hope everyone is having a blast and enjoying life. Remember to live it well for it’s a very short ride indeed, and like Napoleon Hill once said,

"Do not wait; the time will never be 'just right.' Start where you stand, and work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along."

So start now, start today, and don't wait for tomorrow, because for some tomorrow may never come. Rest in peace, Rum <3. You will be missed, but for the rest of us, life just keeps chugging along.

For those who’ve gone ahead, stay focus, and take care of yourselves and your loved ones.
